The Mine Hospital at Falun Mine
The exhibition tells about 300 years of health care at Falun Mine. The first barber-surgeon came to Falun Mine in 1578 to take care of accident victims. This was the start of the country’s oldest company health care, and the Mine Hospital opened in 1695, as Sweden’s first emergency hospital.
