The 2025 Christmas Market will take place on 7 December from 10:00 to 17:00. Around one hundred exhibitors will be present at the Mine Square, offering food and traditional handicrafts.
Admission
Admission: 40 SEK
Free for children up to 16 years old.
Free admission if you purchase a ticket for an underground guided tour or to the Mine Museum.

What happens at the Falu Mine Christmas Market?
At the Christmas market at Falu Mine, you can expect to get into the true Christmas spirit.
The programme includes:
- Performances by the Music Conservatory with classic Christmas songs on the steps of the Mine Museum (every hour from 11:00)
- Dancing around the Christmas tree with the Mining Lady (every half hour from 11:30 to 15:30)
- Horse and carriage rides around the mining area (40 SEK, paid on site)
- The Tomtar in the Vaschet – hand in your Christmas wish list to the mining elves
- Lucky dip in the railway carriage
Parking
We have two car parks adjacent to the area: the main visitor car park managed by OK Kåre, and at Oskar’s Headframe managed by Twin Club.
Parking costs 20 SEK and can be paid by Swish or in cash on site.
We also encourage visitors to park in the town centre and walk up Berghauptmansgatan through Elsborg, which will be decorated with candle lanterns by the Elsborg Neighbourhood Association.
Entrances
There are four entrances to the Falu Mine Christmas Market: at Gjuthuset Café and Shop, at Geschwornergården, at Creutz Shaft, and from Elsborg via Berghauptmansgatan.
All entrances are staffed between 10:00 and 17:00 during the Christmas market, and you can pay by Swish or in cash.
