This year, Easter falls at the end of April, and at Falu Gruva, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for sunny and warm weather. During the Easter days, April 18-21, we are opening the doors to our miner’s homes: Koppargränd 1897 and Krongården 1958. Here, you can experience how the miners lived in the past, and at Krongården 1958, you can also try your hand at traditional Easter crafts.
Opening hours during the Easter days: 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
At the mining area, there will be horse and carriage rides for those who want to see and experience the site in a new way. Of course, the Mining Museum will also be open, and we offer guided underground tours as well.

Leave your pacifier for the mine gnomes
This Easter, we are introducing an exciting new tradition at the mine: a pacifier drop. Here, all children who are ready to part with their pacifier can send it down to the mine gnomes – the same gnomes who receive wish lists during the Christmas market.
You’ll find the pacifier drop near the new lookout tower.
Easter break opening hours
Week 17 is Easter break for most schoolchildren, and during this time, we will be open for both mine tours and visits to the Mining Museum.
Opening hours from April 22-27: every day 10:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
Welcome to celebrate a sunny Easter at Falu Gruva!
