Visit a living industrial monument, 10 km northeast of Svärdsjö. Hyttan is one of the better preserved ironworks from the turn of the century, here time has stood still since the operation was closed in 1927. At that time the blast furnace had been burning for 99 years since 1828.
Hyttan in Åg is open to visitors every Sunday in July between 10-16. Hosts from the local interest group are on site and there is a film screening inside the smelter. Bring your own coffee and end the visit with a dip in Lake Ågsjön.
